I Have A Tooth Abscess And Have Been Taking Amoxicillin

I have a tooth abscess and have been taking amoxicillin for 6 days. The swelling in my neck, cheek and throat has mostly gone away, but my gums in the lower jaw are still puffed up and sensitive. It doesn't seem to be doing anything for that and I'm supposed to be getting the tooth extracted (maybe) tomorrow.
