I Have A White Spot Between My 4th And 5th

I have a white spot between my 4th and 5th toe and on top of my foot right below my 4th and 5th toes it is red. it itches and burns. the white spot isn't a bump, the skin has just turned white. I am treating it with tinactin, but I don't know if it is helping. is this athlete's foot or something else? I'm worried that it is like a yeast infection. I am a really clean person.
