I Have A "whooshing" Pulsating Sensation In My Ear All

I have a "whooshing" pulsating sensation in my ear all of a sudden, since I started using qtips to remove some constant earwax that has been irritating my ear. Now I can't get proper sleep because of this. It also makes me dizzy or vertigo when I press inside my ear sometimes. Would this be tinitus?
