I Have A Wierd Sensation In My Left Ear, Sporadically.

I have a wierd sensation in my left ear, sporadically. It feels warm and sort of like tickling (like tiny bugs are dancing around. This has been going on for about 4 months, I repeat - sporadically. I don't know if I need a doctor. No fever or stiff neck. What do you think?
