I Have A Yellow Coat On My Tongue And Not

I have a yellow coat on my tongue and not a pleasant taste in my mouth----it has been there over a year. I can use a tongue scraper get yellow off, but it will return . I would like to knowing if this serious----i use peroxide at times. It helps but yellow returns...thank you
