I Have Ache Like Pains In My Lower Right Side

I have ache like pains in my lower right side that seem to radiate toward the front. My appendix was taken out several years ago. It felt more like a backache this morning but has changed. I also am experiencing strange discomfort in my right arm. Are the symptoms related? What are the possible causes?
