I Have An 8 Year Old Daughter Who Was Diagnosed

I have an 8 year old daughter who was diagnosed ADHD and she has been taking VVanyce for about 6 months and I have noticed she is taking sewing pins or safety pins and poking her hands with them or putting them in her mouth, I never noticed this behavior until the last couple of months, is this a side effect or something else?
