I Have An Adult Son That Claims He Has Bipolar

I have an adult son that claims he has bipolar depression disorder and I am on the fence about this because I feel I know my son better than anyone. Throughout his life I have been confronted with him being a compulsive liar to the point I feel like this is another one of his antics that have no proof about, just his word that this is what's going on.
