I Have An Area On The Right Side Of My

I have an area on the right side of my jawline that is sore to touch, when I touch it it feels like a vein rather than a gland or something. I can feel a pulse in it. Now I've just noticed the same thing in the area of my temple on the right side of my forehead, pulsing vein that is sore to touch. Should I be worried? No swelling is present, or any other symptoms, though my children both have a cold virus at the moment.
