I Have An Infected Abscess In My Groin Area Which

I have an infected abscess in my groin area which may be caused by a staph infection - not certain. I called my doctor for a prescription because I get these periodically. Will Cephalexin help until I can get my prescription which won't be until tomorow? thanks.
