I Have An Inflamed Iliotibial Band On Band On Right

I have an inflamed iliotibial band on band on right leg and have been getting physical therapy for sometime which seems to have helped quite a bit . However I had my rt. hip replaced in 2005 and my orthopedic Dr believes that though it seems to be helping the blood tests show the metal levels in my blood though not extreme are causing part of the problem and though Physical therapy is helping the only way to resolve it completely is to do surgery and replace the metal with something else.
