I Have An Inflamed Iliotybial Band And Was Prescribed Diclofenac

I have an inflamed iliotybial band and was prescribed diclofenac sodium topical solution. I have taken a 10 day round of prednisome (about a month ago). I have been taking 2 Advil 3 to 4 times daily for the last couple of months. I keep reading all of the risks of NSAIDs w7h your heart and strokes. Am I taking too much? too long?
