I Have An Insect Bite On My Calf. It Has

I have an insect bite on my calf. It has a a darker centre and red all around it. The dark patch is the size of a dime and the red area is the size of a half dollar. I have fucidin topical cream. Can I use it on it? I do not know what bit me but I know it was from walking in a park in florida. I don't think it is a mosquito bite as I had several of those the same time as this and they have healed up.
