I have an odd combination of symptoms. I'm 56, reasonably good health, minor hypertension, slightly elevated cholesterol. slightly high glucose. I have had a dull, aching pain in my left side from just below my ribcage almost all the way to my groin for almost a week. This has been accompanied by a cough (occasionally severe), occasional spontaneous sweating, sensitivity to room temperature, and a severe sensitivity to odors and tastes. I have this odd sickly-sweet taste persistent in my mouth, and most food smells so strong I can't get it past my nose to eat it. Occasional bouts of nausea. I have been taking omeprazole for years, but have never had a problem with it.
