I Have An Ointment Which An Active Ingredient Called Argentum

I have an ointment which an active ingredient called argentum metallicum. I need to use this for treatment of pemphigus .my dog has an area on the edges of her mouth.this med warns for external use only.she will automatically lick thus area is it save to use it here?
