I Have An Older Man Who Is A Vet And

I have an older man who is a Vet and his hands and feet swelled. His wife took him to the VA and they gave him antibiotics. After about three weeks, with no results, the wife took him off antibiotics and swelling went down. But now he's losing weight and can't figure out what's wrong. He hasn't changed any eating habits. Can you help. Thanks!
