I Have An Umbilical Hernia That Needs Repaired, But I

I have an umbilical hernia that needs repaired, but I haven't been able to schedule the surgery. The skin is itching really bad around it, should I be concerned? I know I need to go in if there is pain, but I don't remember if they mentioned itching as a sign of a problem.
