I Have Asthma And I Have Been Having A Cough

I have asthma and I have been having a cough for the past 5 weeks I do not have fever nor is my mucus yellow.
The cough sounds like I have congestion which I do and I cough up a little mucus which is not yellow but clear. Should I go to my asthma doctor I do not feel bad cough will not go away.
