I Have Been Advised To Have A Hysterectomy While Undergoing

I have been advised to have a hysterectomy while undergoing a cystocele repair. There is no disease in my ovaries or uterus. My sister died of ovarian cancer, but my mom is 91 and has never had any problems with her ovaries or uterus. I have read about the side effects of hysterectomy, and am reluctant. What do you think?
