I Have Been Advised To Take Vertin 16 Mg Twice

I have been advised to take Vertin 16 mg twice a day i.e. Morning and Night and to continue the same. This tablet is prescribed after I complained of giddiness and I am a known BP case and taking Telmisartan 40 mg once a day i.e. Morning, Ecosprin 75 mg at Noon and 5 mg of Amlodipine at Night
Please let me know why is VERTIN 16 mg is prescribed and what are the drawbacks associated with it.
