I Have Been Battling A Flea Infestation For A While

I have been battling a flea infestation for a while now, with little progress. I have used liberty 50, and also advantage on my german shepard, she is still scratching to the point that her hind end and lower bellie are lack of much hair. Have bathed her a number of times, but thats only temperary relief for her, she also has developed a bad oder as well. My local vet's assistants have hurt my dog the last couple times I have taken her to them so afraid to take her there any more. She does not apear sick other then the scratching and nibbling she does.
