I Have Been Diagnosed With A "nodule" In My Eye

I have been diagnosed with a "nodule" in my eye and put on steroid drops. Opthomologist concerned about a systemic issue possibility and now I'm having numbness with 1/2 of my middle finger turning white. (As if circulation cut off). I've got a cut on hand that will not heal even with band aid and Neosporin.
Could these possibly be related? I'm going for bloodwork as suggested by my opthomologist, but don't understand what "systemic" issues could cause an inflammation issue in my eye that's this severe.
