I Have Been Diagnosed With Arthritis In My Lower Back.

I have been diagnosed with arthritis in my lower back. Have been having sciatica for the last few weeks down my right leg. This leaves my muscles somewhat sore and weak whenever I have the shooting pain. Today my arm muscles are feeling weak and a little sore. What should I do? I have been on a heating pad which helps.
