I Have Been Diagnosed With Pneumonia Which Developed From A

I have been diagnosed with pneumonia which developed from a nasty flu I got travelling home to California from Australia. I received a shot of antibiotics 2 days ago, have been taking a Z-Pac and using MusinexDM. Whatever is happening seems to be affecting my brain, making me very confused and at times almost delirious. It is taking all my efforts to type this. Can this be a normal side effect of pneumonia?
