I Have Been Diagnosed With Strep Throat 3 Days Ago

I have been diagnosed with strep throat 3 days ago and been horribly feverish and chills and burning up. I had a penicillin shot earlier today and and after breaking a sweat around 430pm.....as of now at 800pm....I have a 101.5 fever but feel fine, not hot or chills or body aches. Is this normal? Has me concerned that I can't tell if have a fever.
