I Have Been Experiencing A Bad Skin Rash That Began

I have been experiencing a bad skin rash that began as little red dots, and now the dots are becoming larger in size and more widespread. They are very itchy and uncomfortable. Most of the area affected is my torso. I've been to a dermatologist, and the only thing that even comes close to helping is a steroid, and he doesn't not want me to be using that for a prolonged period of time.
