I Have Been Experiencing Hives Breakouts Since July 4 Th

I have been experiencing hives breakouts since July 4 th of this year. I thought I was being bitten by insect but after being tested by dermatologist it was ruled out. I have taken every steroid cream you can thing of . The hives comes and go out of no where. I was prescribe steroids by mouth as well and a crème. That worked awhile but being a type two diabectic it raised my blood sugar . I thought I was in the clear, after a brief break but lately they started to come back. First on the arm, then move to leg and then move to back. I put steroid crème on them and they disappear. But few days later they come again. Sometimes they disappear as fast as they come. Becoming very frustrating. I have never had these problems before. I was wondering could it be menopausal. My primary dr tells me the same thing and wants to give me steroids shots. These shots cause my blood sugar to hit 585. I cant take any more of those. I am just now getting my sugar levels under control again after working very hard to keep it under control. Could my metformin be causing hives. I was diagnoised type 2 for 4 years now and have never had any problem. I have noticed my stomach bothers me sometimes . ANy advice will be helpful
