I Have Been Experiencing Increasing Problems With My Hair &

I have been experiencing increasing problems with my hair & scalp over the past year. Have been to a neurologist, who referred to to a dermotolist, who could not find any visual problems with my scalp. Stated my scalp is healthy and visually the hair follicles at the scalp are generally the same degree of thickness. My symptoms are as follows: the circular crown of my scalp is generally tender and the hair feels thinner. At the top portion, some hair follicles often become sore at scalp. My scalp has developed parting of the hair from one ear, across the center of my head to the other ear...also parting on both sides from the temples, toward the back of my head head...connecting with the circular crown. I actually feel straight line divisions. Areas of my scalp often feel very tight and agitated, causing me to constantly pull at my hair at the scalp. Growth patterns in some areas have changed direction, in two areas the hair feels and appears suppessed. One particular areas (the size of a silver dollar), will not grow. Overall, my scalp is generally uncomfortable & my hair is extremely dry, will not retain moisture. In addition to visiting the neurologist and dermatologist, I have spent hundreds of dollars in hair & scalp care products which only slighty alleviate the symptoms briefly. I shampoo, condition, leave-in moisterizers every other day...just a start! I am a 51 year old African-American woman and I am post-menapausal (primary physician has verified vial labs) Medications: Synthroid 112mg(hypo-thyroid), lexapro 20mg, iron 45mg (slow-release) - anemia, Allegra-D 24HR. This scalp/hair conditon is beginning to occupy my entire being & I feel I am becoming increasingly deppressed about it. Will you please offer me some sound medical advice & or referral for medicaly specialty. Thank you, Patricia. Email address: YYYY@YYYY
