I Have Been Experiencing Knee Pain For 8 Weeks After

I have been experiencing knee pain for 8 weeks after a walking tour of New Orleans. I had a Dopplar xray completed to rule out blood clots, however, after taking Aleve and using ice and elevating the leg it is still very sore. I have kept up my routine of swimming 3 mornings a week, hoping that this exercise might help. Any suggestions on how to eliminate the pain? It does feel like muscle pain.
