I Have Been Experiencing Pinprick Clusters Of Surface Scabs, Along

I have been experiencing pinprick clusters of surface scabs, along with my entire family, including ones who do not live in my home- we are all itchy mostly at night (yet i know its not from dry skin.) Originally took my children to the Dr for what thought was lice because they had itchy bumps around their hair lines, assumed child in school passed it along, although i never saw any lice or nits, the Dr glance at my children's heads and threw out the it's lice, prescribed lice-x two separate times (so 4 total treatments on everyone in house. Each time a follow up treatment was given one wk after initial ) We have all suffered from the night itch, children have scaly scalps, what look like lines appear under surface of skin on extremities and sometimes leave a superficial scab, as well as the clusters. We have been cleaning, vacumming, and changing linens and towels regularly. We are all tired more than we should be, it's starting to affect our everyday lives. Everyone in the house have been staying up most of the night. From what I've read I'm thinking scabies but that's an assumption, im just dying to find out what this is so my life can resume as normal as possible, we have been dealing with this for over a year now.
