I Have Been Experiencing Slight Tiredness In The Afternoon Especially

I have been experiencing slight tiredness in the afternoon especially after eating (I sleep 7 hours a night so it may just be from that). I am in good health with no known medical conditions.

I am 24 years old, 5”7, 140 pounds, lift weights 3 times a week and walk about 15 minutes per day.

I decided to get a fasting blood glucose test as well as an a1c reading at a CVS minute clinic since it’s free with my insurance.

I finished my last meal at 12:30 am on Friday night and got blood drawn at 12:10 pm (11 hours and 40 minutes later).

My fasted glucose reading was 113 mg/dL which according to them was considered normal but on the higher end of normal. According to the internet anything above 100 mg/dL constitutes prediabetes.

What also confuses me is that my A1C was 5.1 which is well within normal range.

So my main question is why was my fasted blood sugar reading high but my A1C was normal. Based on this information do I fall into the prediabetes category or not? Did I not wait long enough for fasting? I was also somewhat nervous about getting the test so I’m not sure if that would effect the results
