I Have Been Experiencing This Metallic Taste In My Mouth

I have been experiencing this metallic taste in my mouth for just under 3 weeks now it goes away then comes back. I get dizzy occasionally but I also do have anemia (low iron deficiency) it's not severe. I also do have anxiety it's gotten worse over the past 3 years. I just want to know if I should be worried I am generally an active and healthy person but my doctor said I'm really close to being pre- diabetic could that have anything to do with it?
