I Have Been Fighting A Head Cold For Three Days.

I have been fighting a head cold for three days. Taking Mucinex for cough and sinus issues. About 15 minutes ago a have noticed swelling on the left side of my mouth. It is similar to what you experience when you have your mouth numbed at the dentist office. Is this something I need to have checked out or is it an extension of my cold virus?
