I Have Been Getting Allergy Shot For About Four Months.

I have been getting allergy shot for about four months. I had one yesterday afternoon and things were fine although the area around the shot was very scratchy. Today I've had a very runny nose lots of sneezing, my eye are pretty red. Can there be a delayed reaction to an allergy shot and should i be alarmed...the past few allergy shots I've had similar smyptoms but not as severe as today. What can I do to calm down these symptoms and how long should it take for them to go away on their own?
