I Have Been Getting Blotches As Well As Spots Of

I have been getting blotches as well as spots of purple p. They look as if they are broken vessels under the skin. I'm am thin and was thinking that was the cause, then a heavy friend appeared with the same blotches. What is this. I recently had a complete physical with blood work in January.
