I Have Been Getting Several Bruises On My Leg From

I have been getting several bruises on my leg from unknown injuries. I have one that I have had since before Thanksgiving. It is still purple, as well as one on my shin. I would definitely remember hitting my shin! I am concerned because I had a son die from leukemia. When should I be worried?
