I Have Been Having An Issue With My Foot, More

I have been having an issue with my foot, more specifically on my left foot. i am having a consistent numbing and at times burning pain in the toe next to my big toe. The pain is in the joint of the toe, and i have not stubbed my toe or had anything fall or any type of trauma to it. any ideas
