I Have Been Having Attacks At Night Of Nausea, Heart

I have been having attacks at night of nausea, heart burn and urge to have bowel movement. The nausea lasts for several hours after. I have been diagnosed with hiatal hernia and IBS. Could either of those cause the above symptoms? I often feel "shaky" when going through one of these episodes late in the night- they even do wake me up out of my sleep.
