I have been having digestive issues for years now but go through months at a time of feeling great. I have had pain under my left shoulder blade and under arm and sometimes under ribs on and off for weeks at a time. In 2011, I became so nauseated and experienced intermittent diarrhea with the pain and lost 30 pounds(started at 118at5'3"). After 2 CTs of abdomen, ultrasound, HIDA scan, endoscopy, colonoscopy and stomach emptying plus blood work, it was determined to remove gallbladder because HIDA had ejection of 31. Also my gastric emptying was high normal. After months on liquid erythromycin, PPIs , Zantac and carafate, I got better, gained weight back and returned to live normally with no meds. However, I get flare ups once or twice a year with the pain diarrhea with mushy fatty stools, and some nausea. It really scares me because I feel terrible when going through it. Could I have chronic pancreatitis? Does it come and go for eight years.. My internist is once again checking enzymes with blood work and I did an abdominal ultrasound today-no results yet--can you help me?
