I Have Been Having Episodes Of Heart Palpitations And Shortness

I have been having episodes of heart palpitations and shortness of breath. Usually they appear when I feel nervous or afraid. Yet, I get them at random too for no apparent reason. I had an episode last night with rapid heart rate ,body chills , heavy breathing, weak arms and legs. Is this anxiety or what could this be?
