I have been having leg cramps at night for about three months. Now when I ty to get out of bed y thigh underneath is excruciating. At first I slid down the side of the bed and crawled and now I have learned to pull myself up and most of the time get out of bed in the middle of the night sometimes and always in the morning, but the pain is still there and stays with me and I walk from side to side; it hurts to walk; this has been going on for about three weeks. I recently had a physical and the lab work and all was very good, even potassium. Do I need an x-ray? I called my dr. for muscle relaxants to use at bedtime. He does not know about this new painful development as his nurse wanted me to go to a doc on the box. I feel like I knew a wheelchair............well, almost. For sure, I have to grab onto something when I finally can get to the point where I can get up after extremely painful spasms in the right thigh. Help! I am trying to ge back into exercise but can't now and I am trying to drink a lot more water than I have been and have tried potassium and magnesium. Maybe in time..................otherwise I feel like, "Just shoot me" Not literally!
