I Have Been Having Numbness And Tingling In My Left

I have been having numbness and tingling in my left hand, with the most significant discomfort feeling in my pinky finger and ring finger. This began about 2 weeks ago and gets slightly worse when I bend my arm. I can feel what seems like an electric current flowing in my arm. I am diabetic and I have nuropathy in both hands but it is well controlled with medication. But this new numbness does not seem to improve or get better with medication. i am a 49 year old, male. What is going on with me, Doctor ??
