I Have Been Having Pain In My Right Side For

I have been having pain in my right side for a couple of weeks. It will hurt one day and may not the next. I went to my chiro dr, because I thought it was a pinched nerve in my side. He didn't think it was a pinched nerve and asked about a kidney infection. What are the possibilities?
