I Have Been Having Pain In The Back Of My

I have been having pain in the back of my head on the right side. It is above my neck and at times can move up higher. I think it's been about a week now. I had my tonsils removed 2 1/2 weeks ago and spent about a week lying around. Can you pull a muscle in your head? The pain isn't always constant, but tonight seems to be bothering more, especially when I lean over. The pain also tends to move toward my ear, but not like an earache.
