I Have Been Having Sharp Needle Pain Like Quick Zaps

I have been having sharp needle pain like quick zaps in my right temple, it goes about 3 quick zaps then stops, then again after a couple of minutes, another 3 zaps. They happen unexpected throughout the day. I just had a very severe cold about 3 weeks ago and still feel congested and with sinus pressure. Could these zaps be related to sinus pressure or sinus infection? Could they be something more serious?
