I Have Been Having Slightly Painful Twinges On Both Sides

I have been having slightly painful twinges on both sides about 2" below each armpit, sometimes following the rib on the left side to within 1/2 of the sternum, occasional mild dizziness, feeling the urge to burp and not being able to - all for about a month now. I saw a cardiologist who recommended a stress test, but not a CT or ultrasound as the CT exacerbates blockages on the scan. Based on these symptoms, does this sound like it is heart blockage related? I go for my cholesterol bloodwork Monday.
