I Have Been Having Some Pain In My Right Side,

I have been having some pain in my right side, not where the appendix is, but lateral, at the waist level and spreading to the back a little ways. It's been going on for about two weeks without improvement. It does affect the way I am able to move due to pain. It feels different than just a sore muscle, which is what I originally thought it was. I don't know whether to be concerned or more patient.
