I Have Been Having Stomach Pains For Three Days Now,

I have been having stomach pains for three days now, more in my upper abdomin. An uncomfortable pain that's just "there", but then worsens when I eat or drink anything. It feels like a crunching pain that stabs sometimes. I'm wondering if I should go into the doctor or if I may be over reacting, my boyfriend thinks it may be gall stones.
