I Have Been Having These Surge Like Feelings In My

I have been having these surge like feelings in my head for a long time. I also have a cyst on my brain stem. What is the cause of the surges. as a child i had some tramatic things done to me over and over and it has caused me to have fear trough out my life. i really want the awful memories to just go away but they never do. I still cry almost everyday when these thoughts are too strong to push back. could these surges be from terror that i have been put through?
