I have been having tics for many years now. My family is not the type to go to the hospital or doctors to get things checked out, so I have never gotten my tics checked. Doing way too much research, I realized that it is very apparent that I have Tourette's syndrome. I need a real diagnosis to be able to actually say I have it. Unfortunately, there are no local neurologists and the closest ones most likely do not take my insurance. I would like to have a doctor tell me what it is because I will be starting college in Spring and would like to explain to everyone what is "wrong" with me. But these tics are very painful and really getting in the way of my daily life. They have gotten a lot worse over the years as well. They started around 4th or 5th grade and I just turned 18 a few months ago. Basically, I would like either your diagnosis or your opinion if you can not give a real diagnosis on what you believe this is. I know I have tics, that's for sure. I have both motor and vocal tics, and I have had them for over a year. I am attaching a youtube video of me that I made showing the majority of my tics. Shortly after I shot it, I started to say words like "no" and "Please" and "stop" for no reason (although, I do repeat them to myself when I have anxiety attacks sometimes) but I do not swear or anything. Please excuse the ad on my video, I apologize.
